I am humbled to be awarded the 2024 Ten Best Award for Patient Satisfaction by The American Institute of Plastic Surgeons (AIOPS) again this year.
Founded in 2015, the AIOPS began with the idea that Plastic Surgeons should be recognized for excellence in their field and that potential patients can benefit from this knowledge. American Institute is an impartial third-party rating organization comprised of eight separate divisions. The American Institute of Plastic Surgeons recognizes excellence of practitioners in the field and compiles an exclusive list of the Ten Best Plastic Surgeons for each State. This is a prestigious honor for the Plastic Surgeon as each Plastic Surgeon must:
- Be formally nominated by the Institute, patients, and/or a fellow Plastic Surgeon
- Have attained the highest degree of professional achievement in his or her field
- And having done so with an impeccable Patient Satisfaction rating
Many Plastic Surgeons can achieve high degrees of success but this is oftentimes at the expense or satisfaction of the most important person in the case – the patient. The American Institute of Plastic Surgeons looks for Plastic Surgeons that have achieved unparalleled success but most importantly have done so for the benefit of their patient. Very few Plastic Surgeons can do so and the AIOPS recognizes this significant achievement.
The American Institute of Plastic Surgeons’ Rating System helps patients throughout the United States make educated decisions when it comes to choosing their Plastic Surgeon. Membership is an exclusive honor and extended only to those select few who have reached the top of their profession while doing so with the patient’s satisfaction being of the most paramount importance.
